12 Social Marketing Tips and Solutions That Scream Simple

12 Social Marketing Tips and Solutions That Scream Simple

Greg and Dori EddollsAfter the world moved into the technology age, marketing changed totally and completely, but in the last two years (since 2012) we have seen an incredible change happen in the world of internet marketing. What used to work…just doesn’t anymore. Automated linking tools now run you more of a risk of getting penalized and SEO companies all over the place are out of business or changing to different methods altogether to get sites ranking.

The world is moving towards Social everything. “Normal” people are empowered with the ability to reach the masses without a massive budget.  Someone who has the ability and desire to learn some new technical skills also has the ability to impact the world with their unique and individual personality. This does not always result in a good scenario, because many people have access to exposure before they even have a substantive product or service to offer. However, marketing pretenders are being swept out of the way by legitimate content and solution providers.

So how exactly is the internet marketing world being swept clean?

Well, real dedicated individuals who own businesses, are learning how easy it is to target and communicate with their potential customers by using Social Networks, Video Marketing, Email List Builders and Blogging to deliver their unique and valuable content. As with any real business, the business owner needs to be willing to invest lots of time and money into their dream to make it come to fruition.

WTI is here to show you how that process works.

My highest recommendation is to use these steps for an already established business with credibility.

  1. Pick your most qualified individual to represent your public face of business. If that is you…then get ready to learn some people skills and exude confidence in your passion.

  2. Get or learn how to use your own camera to take pictures and video of your Public Relations guy or gal. Find someone to help record you talking or taking action in your realm of expertise. This might mean acquiring a tripod and proper camera mount. It’s easy to find a mount for your Droid or iPhone or Tablet….just look on Amazon.

  3. Set your expectations for the long term. Commit yourself and your crew to expect alot of work over the next year or two or even five years to get your message and your product and service out through the proper channels of delivery to hit your target market.

  4. Be prepared to spend at least some money to buy some tools, hardware and software, to help you in the process of content creation, content editing, content delivery and publication.

  5. Be prepared to commit yourself and your crew to daily activities that push your agenda forward. The more time, money and energy you spend on this process the faster it will grow.

  6. Engage your business niche with Daily passion. This means that once you have delivered the content you have to engage the people who are interested in your content and expertise. That can be through Facebook comments and likes, emails, phone calls, virtual meetings, or face to face personal meetings.

  7. Map out your daily workflow for daily business activities for yourself and your crew. How many articles or videos can you push out in a week, a month, a year?

  8. Plan on building a website that will function as your home base for content. While Facebook, YouTube and other social networks are great for content distribution, these platforms do not belong to you and you can be affected by decisions that these platforms make regarding your content. Always keep a backup copy of your library of videos.

  9. Learn how marketing tools work. What are the tools that can help you create a strong daily routine and minimize some of the monotonous and tedious practices of sharing on social media in a wider circle.

  10. Focus on the most popular and widely used Social Networks and learn how to use the tools within those platforms to deliver your content effectively and to engage your users and prospective clients more effectively.

  11. Learn how to target your idea audience for business engagement. This takes time and research and regular adjustments. You have to pay attention to who wants to see your content and who does not want to see your content.

  12. When you become very organized and consistent some people will feel threatened by your regular presence in their group, forum, social wall etc., and the will complain. Deal with them peacefully, kindly and diplomatically. Give them a choice of all or nothing of your content, to accept you or not to accept you and your content, with no hard feelings. You will win respect and friends that way.

If you haven’t got a clue and you would like to start learning more about how to market your business locally, regionally, statewide, and nationally…heck even internationally…then make sure you Learn More About WTI and sign up for our email list. We won’t spam you constantly…but we will send you information that we have found works for business.

Marketing And Networking University Review: Cash Gifting Forced Matrix Cycler

Marketing And Networking University Review: Cash Gifting Forced Matrix Cycler

MNU 2

Marketing and Networking University (MNU) launched in beta mode on 11/14/2014.  The domain was registered on 5/26/2014 and lists Steven Lawson as the owner.  An address in the UK is provided.

On the website of MNU, the founders are listed as Beau Buckley, Steve Lawson, Fred Mandl and Aron Prins. Their Mission Statement is “to be the online authority for all aspects of Marketing and Networking”.

The founder’s combined experience in MLM includes affiliate status in M&G Home Business, ViewTrakr, Empower Network, Internet Lifestyle Network, Staged, TSU, and Unstoppable Marketers.

The MNU Product Line

MNU has no retailable products or services with affiliates only able to market membership to the company itself.

Bundled with the MNU affiliate membership is access to a “blogging system”, “course creation center”, “product housing & advertisement”, “social network”, “student faculties”, “lecture hall” and “global creatives”.

Joining MNU

The MNU affliate membership revolves around affliates purchasing $50 positions with 100% commissions for the first month’s membership.  There is a $14.95 affiliate setup fee which gives affiliates the privilege of making money for the company.

MNU Compensation Plan

The MNU affiliate membership monthly subscription fee is $49.99 and revolves around the filling of a 3 x 7 matrix with each filled position paying out a monthly commission.

A 3 x 7 matrix starts with an affiliate at the top of the matrix, with three legs branching out under them (level 1).

3 x 7 Matrix

Those three legs then branch out into an additional three legs which continues down to 7 levels.

Positions are filled in an affiliate’s matrix either via direct recruitment or the recruiting efforts of their uplines and downlines.

When an affiliate recruits a new member themselves, they might not necessarily wind up being placed in their own personal matrix in a “forced matrix” compensation plan. Upline and “organic” spillover are only possible once all positions are filled in all matrices above each affiliate’s personal matrix.

A 3 x 7 matrix has 3,279 positions.

Conclusion

With nothing being sold to retail customers, MNU’s membership fee revolves around 100% affiliate commissions paid upon the recruitment of new affiliates.   MNU functions as a gifting scheme for the first month’s membership fee.  Affiliates pay $50 and get paid $50 for all personal recruits.

MNU’s 3 x 7 matrix includes affiliate’s subsequent monthly membership fees ($49.99) being pumped into the matrix by new affiliates and then re-distributed back out amongst existing affiliates.

Commissions are paid out dependent on how many positions an affiliate has filled in their personal matrix:

Level 1 – $8 each for 3 positions = $24

Level 2 – $4 each for 9 positions = $36

Level 3 – $3 each for 27 positions = $81

Level 4 – $4 each for 81 positions = $324

Level 5 – $4 each for 243 positions = $972

Level 6 – $5 each for 729 positions = $3,645

Level 7 – $6 each for 2,187 positions = $13,122

100% of the commissions paid out by MNU are affiliate funded.

When a company is pushing affiliate membership as their primary product in MLM, recruitment is the name of the game.

With 100% of the commissions paid out in MNU being sourced from affiliates and primarily tied into an affiliate paying a monthly membership fee, MNU becomes a blatant recruitment driven pyramid scheme.

You sign up as an MNU affiliate, you pay your affiliate membership fees and then recruit others who do the same. The more affiliates you, your uplines and downlines recruit, the more commissions you make.

Once the new recruitment stops at the bottom of the scheme, those who aren’t getting monthly gifting payments passed up will stop paying their $49.99 a month, which means the people above them will find their matrix income shrinking or drying up altogether when enough people stop paying.

Once this trickles up far enough, MNU will collapse.

Internet Marketing vs Online Network Marketing

Internet Marketing vs Online Network Marketing

What’s the difference?

Greg Eddolls - Admin of Work To Inspire. What To Do Next?Internet Marketing means serious business

Whether you own a brick and mortar physical store or an online enterprise WTI wants to deliver you concrete methods to help your business succeed.

Serious Business means:

  • Tools for online marketing

  • Learning how to engage social marketing

  • Learning how to engage email marketing of your business

  • Learning how to gain more clients within your realm of business.

  • Increasing exposure to a well defined target market to sell your product or service to those who need and want it.

AND Online Network Marketing?

The Online Network Marketing World is filled with folks that want to use the internet for marketing and making money, but have no real product or service to offer. Many times these genuinely zealous and well-meaning folks want to be something, to do something, and to share their knowledge with the world, but they don’t really know anything substantial about actually running a business? And many of them do not even have an actual product.

Without a product or service that has a legitimate use and value, Online Network Marketing turns into a circus of money games, money cyclers, and endless pyramids and binary structures for “explaining” the “compensation plan”.

HYPE DOES NOT EQUAL BUSINESS.

Getting hyped up and excited about a money cycler will only work a few times for many people. Some enlightened minds realize after a painful loss or 10 that it’s about knowing the right people and being near the top. This also means they know that most will fail like they did before they figured out how to be at the top. Continuing to be involved in that kind of business, and knowing that they are making money off the 97% who usually fail seems like a bad idea for a business plan to me.

While I appreciate the zeal of folks who want to change the world through fixing all the problems of network marketing, that is kind of like saying they are going to fix human nature! It can’t be fixed. Unless you are part of the top 3% that make good money you are wasting your time, and if you think being at the top of this kind of pyramid is legitimate business, then you have not learned enough lessons yet. You are just a cog in the machine and a check in the mail to someone else above you.

The problem with Network Marketing in general is that it glorifies the value of a Pyramid structure, or Binary compensation plan…in which the failure of the 97% of Network Marketers is almost guaranteed. Most of the people are paying the checks to the people above them without knowing how to be a strong earner themselves. After a while people figure this out…and then they are left wondering why they went on that crazy rollercoaster .

INTERNET MARKETING WORKS FOR ANY BUSINESS!

Internet Marketing means using the Internet to market, well, just about anything, including your brick and mortar business. Allowing business owners to express their passion and utilize legitimate tools to create, edit and produce content empowers that business owner to become an authority in their niche of expertise. Legitimate original content that people will enjoy and follow has to be delivered to the masses through several media channels and methods.

So what follows is this. Internet Marketing is the process of using the existing powerful Social Media Networks, Search Engine Optimization ( #SEO ), Content Creation Tools and various other Marketing Tools to help business owners attract new targeted customers who have an interest in their product. It also means engaging those potential customers in meaningful dialogue about useful content created by you, so that you can demonstrate your authority in your area of expertise.

MLM FAILS MOST OF THE TIME!

ONLINE MULTI-LEVEL NETWORK MARKETING works for about 3% of the people. With the exception of a few long lasting MLM companies with good products that are available for retail as well as discount club pricing, Multi-Level Marketing has a bad name for a reason. The bottom always dries up when there is no legitimate product or service.

Seeing the continuous introduction of new money games and money cycler programs online into which people can throw money is really disturbing from most angles. The only redeeming thing about MLM companies seems to be at least an effort from real people trying to do something extraordinary. There is often great charisma, vision casting and hyping of a new brand that is going to ROCK the INDUSTRY! But it never does. It’s a zeal without knowledge.

In the end it seems like it’s yet another NOOB trying on their leadership pants for the first time and having a go at re-inventing the wheel.

Now I won’t claim to know everything, but I have been around long enough to know that if YOU want to be successful YOU need to invest in some personal discipline and infrastructure. You need to identify your passion and then go after it. I have a really hard time getting excited about money for money’s sake. How bout you?

Are 100% MLM Commissions Awesome or a Scam?

Are 100% MLM Commissions Awesome or a Scam?

Commissions

The advertising hype on the internet these days is, “Get 100% Commissions!” 100% commissions sounds really awesome, but is it?

While watching the business presentations of the 100% commissions crooks, you’ll see a lot of money changing hands, but no product actually being sold.

If you are participating in an MLM company and receiving 100% commissions after recruiting new affiliates, something is fundamentally wrong with that MLM company’s business model.

If you are selling a product for $50 and getting paid $50, what you are selling has no cost or essential value. Zip. Zero. Zilch. The supplier of the product is supplying the product for free with affiliates collecting (not earning) money. What you’re really participating in is a cash gifting scheme.

By promoting a 100% commissions MLM company, you’re essentially saying, “we’re scamming you!” This is the same message that you’re broadcasting out to the Federal Trade Commission which regulates MLM companies. The Federal Trade Commission will shut down the company sooner than later. When this happens, everything you have done to build the business and your future will disappear.

There is a fundamental rule in sales: If you don’t believe in the value of the product, no one else will either. If you’re conning others into an unfair deal, you have to kid yourself into believing that both you and others are getting something for nothing. In the end, con artists only end up working harder and paying more for what they get out of life.

If you’re tired of all the 100% commissions nonsense and want to make sense of the MLM industry, you can start by reading this free article:  http://worktoinspire.com/spotting-a-pyramid-scheme-isnt-always-so-easy

Spotting a Pyramid Scheme Isn"t Alway So Easy

Pyramid Scheme

Spotting a Pyramid Scheme Isn’t Alway So Easy

It’s important to understand the company’s compensation plan; yet, that is sometimes easier said than done, because most plans have complex formulas.

Since there’s no easy way to spot a pyramid scheme, take the following into consideration prior to joining a new opportunity:

What’s the track record of the company?

What are the products?

What claims are made to back up the product?

Are the product competitively priced?

Will the opportunity and products appeal to a large customer base?

Is there an up-front cost to join the plan?

Are you committed to making a minimum level of sales each month?

Is there a requirement to recruit new distributors to be successful in the plan?

Do your homework and ask these questions prior to jumping into a new opportunity:

Is there hard work involved or am I being sold on getting rich quickly with no effort?

Are the claims reasonable or do they seem too good to be true?

What are existing customers saying about this opportunity? Do they sound genuine?

Do I get support when I join or will I be left to my own devices?

Is this a short term business opportunity or is it proven to feed my family for a long time?

Active income versus passive income?

What am I investing in? Is it just information (which I can get free) or is it a REAL product that will serve me even if I don’t make money?

Does it involve any high-pressure selling or bait-and-switch tactics?

Do I believe in the mission behind the income? Am I changing someone’s life while making money? Am I helping people or just trying to get their money?

Can a complete newbie make money with this?

Do you need tons of technical skills to make it work?

Are there any hidden fees?

If an opportunity sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Common sense will tell you that it’s probably a scam. If you believe the offer is a pyramid scheme, don’t participate. It’s highly likely that you will lose money; and, you could be breaking the law.

If you think you might already be participating in a pyramid scheme, end your involvement and report the company to the Federal Trade Commission.

Good Luck!

Content Marketing in the Social Arena

Content Marketing in The Social Arena

Greg Eddolls - Admin of Work To Inspire. What To Do Next?Within the idea of Content Marketing we have the critical element of story-telling. If you want serious results for your business, story telling is an intentional, visual and entertaining HABIT that needs to be exercised every day if possible.

We all SHOULD know by now that just posting some type of sales ad is tantamount to marketing suicide, especially in Social Media. Over the last year on Facebook we have seen tremendous rise in the use of images and video compared to the use of plain text posts. Why? Because human beings love to consume new, interesting and entertaining information from the world around us. I know this is true from my own experience and you are experiencing the same thing yourself.

So how do we create content that people actually want to consume? If you want the attention of your target audience you have to start delivering the content that people want. This means a whole new learning curve for you as a serious marketer. You will either hire or become the photographer, designer, reporter, videographer and journalist. You will either learn or pay someone to do your editing and content delivery.

The hard truth is that YOU don’t have time to become all these things and you may not have the money to hire out all of these professional services yourself. If you can afford it, good for you! The only thing stopping you is yourself and perhaps a lack of vision and knowledge.

Your audience reacts to headlines that engage personal curiosity and which entertains them with witty presentation. That means you have to authentic, original and clever to capture attention in your chosen niche. As marketers we used to be able to automate many of the facets of content delivery and even discovery of channels for delivery to the masses. We used to be able to game the search engines with clever automated programs that gained us high search engine ranking, but that era is over.

Google pulled the rug out from the black-hat and grey-hat SEO tactics. This action leveled the playing field for authentic content producers. They actually did the industry a favor by eliminating the lame automated abusers from gaining high (SERPS) Search Engine Results Placement.

The Search Engine movement now is towards continuous and relevant content production. That puts a heavy load on everyone and eliminates the posers and scammers.

Google stated at one point that they were going to now begin giving authority to those who already had demonstrated authority in their particular niche. I was exasperated by this very difficult reality. This meant no mom and pop sites on the fringe would be able to easily get high ranking results by using automated tools. So how are we supposed to compete with those who already have authority?

If you take a look at the search results for any Google search you might attempt, you will see that those SERPS include the big players like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Wiki…etc. So the solution NOW is to move your energy and efforts to ranking within these high profile, high authority sites that are literally channels for content delivery, so that your content is displayed within those channels and referenced by Google’s search engine.

So now your challenge is clear! Have you defined your area of expertise? Are you a true authority in your niche? Or are you just pretending and hoping that somehow spamming your content will produce magical results and make you money?

I hope this helps you get a grip on the reality of your current business model and a vision for the future of your business on the internet!
